Dad, you're so fun!

After playing with Dad for awhile Rylen decided that it would be funny to loose his lunch on Dad's shirt. He was right, I laughed my butt off! Only because Andrew gets so grossed out by things like that.

The video is REALLY dark (sorry) but we forgot to turn on the lights. Atleast you get to hear it. This is the first time that Rylen actually laughed and giggled and what a cute little giggle it is!

Why we have to start using bibs

I went to get a bib yesterday to put on Rylen and noticed that all of his bibs are to small. They wont fit around his neck!! I managed to find 3 that will work. i guess I will have to make a trip to Walmart this week.

Time to eat

Rylen has always been a really good eater from the start but we have been noticing that he's been having more and more feeds then usual. There are times where we are feeding him every hour. Ya, not fun for me!! We decided that we would try him on
rice cereal (pablum) and if he wasn't into it then no big deal. Well he seemed to like it! Hopefully it will keep his belly a little fuller. We also set up his highchair which he seems to really like. Maybe dinners will be a little bit easier now.

Carrot anyone?

Rylen's first vegetable. I was sitting beside him eating carrots when he got hold of one and started chewing it. Sneaky little boy!

Anyone hungry?

When dinner time comes around I usually sit on the floor with Rylen so he's not fussing but since he's a little older we have been bringing him to the table with us.
Tonight we were having stirfry and before I knew it Rylen had a handful of food. I guess we will set up the highchair this week!

Rylen is getting stronger everyday. Now when we do tummy time he is arching is whole back and lifting with his arms.

Happy 4 months Rylen!

Who is Rylen?
Rylen is 4 months old today and what a character he is!
He rolls over to his side lots and can roll over all the way but doesn't really like to do it that often.
He loves kisses especially when Dad does his "big fish, little fish kisses" or his "motor kisses" or when Mom does her "morning mommy kisses".
He's wearing 12month clothing but he's not a fat or chubby baby. He's lean and long.
He's wearing size 4 diapers already.
He loves to go for walks and have the wind blowing in his face. If he's fussing you take the stroller over gravel and it quiets him down right away. It sometimes even puts him to sleep.
He's making friends with the cats or should I say the cats are tolerating him.
He's still a big eater which means he's a big farter!
He's loves his baths when he's with his big rubber.

Rylen tries to stay up all day but when we do need to put him down we will sing "the ants go marching 10 by 10" song to him. By the time we get half way through he is usually asleep.
He has now figured out that when he's eating he can blow milk bubbles. Ya, not fun for me!
Best time to chat with him is first thing in the morning. He loves to talk!
He's not a happy camper if you have to change his bum in the middle of the night but who can blame him.

Rylen is teething which makes anything at his reach eatable.
He has recently found his feet and loves to try and grab them.
He also loves when Dad sings to him day and night especially the songs that Dad makes up.
