Happy 6months Rylen!!

Rylen is 6 months old this week and he's got quite the personality.

He loves his bath and gets all to excited to hear and see the water running. He is now on the bottle (day 3) and doesn't seem to mind it but during the day he doesn't like you giving it to him. He prefers to feed himself and wants to hold it on his own while lying on the floor.
He's very lean and long and is wearing 18month clothing if not bigger.

Yesterday was the first day that he realized that he could jump in his Jumperoo. Now you cant stop him from jumping.
Rylen loves to be outside and is happy to go for a walk anytime. Just the other day we took him to the beach (forgot the camera) and he touched the sand with his little toes for the first time. He was all grins and giggles.
He's still not crawling but he's rolling everywhere and I caught him trying to pull himself up to a sitting position today.

Soon I will have to post a video of Rylen for all to see.

I found Rylen this morning sleeping at the top of his crib. I know he moves around a lot at night and we always seem to find him in weird or awkward spots in the morning but what I wonder about is how he got here with all of his covers still on.

We were trying to figure out what Rylen could give his Daddy for his Birthday and we figured that a half naked baby and lots of finger paint was a great combination. Thank goodness that I had Jolene to help me because it sure was messy!!
Hopefully Andrew will like it!

Strong legs

Rylen's legs are getting strong and just within the last 2 days he has been able to stand on them with all of his weight. At first he would lean over and curl up his toes but we have been practicing standing when we have baths together. Now he stands up straight and tall and thinks that its so funny when he does it. Maybe its cause mommy laughs and gets all excited when he does it or its all just new and exciting.
This week we will get him to hold onto things while he stands.

Shopping

We went to Walmart today and spent a pretty penny. Rylen got a new carseat, a few bottles, diapers, wipes, organic baby food and 2 baby gates.
Rylen can spend Dad's money faster then I can!

73cm long...

I just realized something...Rylen (my little giant) is now 73cm long, do you know what that means? It means that we have to get a bigger carseat for him!! Most carseats last up to a year but not with Rylen. He's not even a full 6months yet!! The carseats go up to 21lbs or 73cm long and then you have get a bigger one.
I guess we will be making a trip to Walmart this week since we have to get a few baby gates as well!
