I just posted Rylen's new words the other day but since thne he has a few new ones.
Today he pointed to my eye and said "eye". I dont think Andrew or myself has mentioned that word in awhile.
He also says dog, bubble, papa, nana, walk and boobie.

Potty Training 101
So we have been thinking about starting potty training with Rylen but have had no idea on where to start. There is so much different advice out there that its hard to know where to begin but the most important thing is to have patience!
This morning I wanted to see what Rylen would do if I put him on the potty. He didn't seem to keen on it but as soon as I took him off he tried to climb back on. Just before his nap today I had to change his diaper and thought that it would be a good time to try again. I put him on and...
he pee'd!!!!!!
It was only a little tinkle but its a start!

Rylen loves to eat up at the table like a big boy.
and he insists on using a fork or spoon!
He even sits like a big boy with his legs off of the chair!

I was trying to get ready in the morning when I heard some weird noises. I walked out to the living room and found Rylen had gotten into the diaper bag and got hold of the wipes!!!!

Rylen's Tidbits
-Rylen's molars have finally popped through and it looks like he might have 2 more teeth on the bottom trying to make their appearance.
- He calls me "auntie". That's right, I'm called "auntie. Not mommy, mama, or even mom but AUNTIE!!!
-He is picking up new words every day. Just the other day he saw the bus drive by and yelled out "bus, bus". I didn't teach him that...or did I?
-Rylen's words...bus, kitty cat or cat, ball, Dora, auntie, uncle, daddy, meow, woof, hot tea, hot, please (which he says all of the time!), doey (which means auntie), whats that?, up, uppy or up please, boots (the monkey off of Dora), shoe, sock, apple, no, bath, boat, bug, two and six (he says it everytime you count with him) and I'm sure there a many more but I cant think of them right now.
-He's a little copy cat!! and seems to pick up things fast. Last week I told him "shhhh"...and put my finger up to my lips. He did the same.
-Rylen thinks its funny that he can make a clucking sound with his tongue.
-his eating his improved BIG TIME!! and he loves tomatoes which is weird cause neither Andrew or myself really eat them.
-he insists on using a fork when eating and is he's not eating up at his high chair its at the table like a big boy.
-He still love watching Dora but also likes watching Sesame Street, Pengu, and High Five which is our morning routine when I'm trying to get ready.
-Rylen can catch flies! I know that sounds weird but Ive seen him catch 2 flies with his fingers. Of course he squishes them a little and then tries to stick them back on the window! Eeewww!!!!

Rylen's new dog
A friend of mine came for a visit on the weekend and ended up buying Rylen a new toy. His new dog makes noise and rolls around on his back. For the past few days Rylen hasn't put this dog down!!

what sound does Daddy make??
The other day Rylen and I snuggled up in the chair telling each other stories before bedtime. One of the cats walked in and Rylen sat up and pointed to her saying "kitty cat".
"Yes, Rylen, that's a kitty cat. What do kitty cats say?" I asked.
"mow, mow" he said
"and what do doggies say?" I asked
"oww, oww" he said ( His way of saying "woof". He kind of sounds like a wolf howling)
"and what do Daddy's say?" I asked
Rylen looked up and me and smiled... He stuck out his tongue, pressed his lips together and made the biggest fart/raspberry noise he could!!!!
Rylen and I ended up staying up for 1/2hr longer because we couldn't sleep from all of the laughing.
The next day I couldn't wait to tell Andrew. I brought Rylen into bed with us first thing in the morning and started telling him my story. We both thought that what Rylen did was really funny but most likely a fluke or really good timing. Afterwards Andrew looked at Rylen and asked what daddy's say. With a little smirk Rylen puckered up his lips, stuck out his tongue and made the sounds that daddy's make!!!

Monster Madness!!
As you all know, this is the bedding that we decided to get Rylen. Its bright, funky, different and fun!
We orderd the bedding last week and I just found out that the bedding has been shipped and we should get it sometime this Wednesday. Im so excited!!!!
Anyways, I was out and about today and thought that I would check out Liquidation World. Guess what I found??
A monster pillow!!
But that's not the best part. The price on the back said $10 but for some reason I wanted to check. Personally I wasnt going to pay $10 for the pillow only because I dont have any money to be spending.
I brought it up to the front cashier and it was on sale!!!
Guess how much??

The whole tooth and nothing but the tooth...
Last Saturday we ended up having to take Rylen to the emergency room. I noticed that he had an infection on his gun where one of his molars has been trying to pop through. The doctor didn't want to do anything with it so he put him on antibiotics for a week and sent us home. That night the pocket with the infection burst and started bleeding a little.
The next day his gum looked sore so I just kept an eye on it. Monday came and I noticed that there was white thing popping through his gum. It didn't look like a tooth only because at the bottom of it was a piece of skin holding it onto the gum. I convinced Andrew to take us back to the emergency room for another check up...just incase.
After waiting a long 2hrs we finally got to see the doctor. He decided to try and pull it out. With Rylen wrapped up in a sheet, 2 nurses, myself and Andrew holding him down he still managed to struggle free. It was so hard to hear Rylen cry and scream!!! The doctor gave up on trying to get it out since it wasn't coming out easily. With Rylen's mouth full of blood and tears streaming down his cheek the nurse gave him a popsicle. Someone was a happy camper after that!!!
The doctor thought that Rylen had an absest tooth and the white thing was a fragment of a tooth coming out.
We left the hospital with the understanding that if the tooth fragment didn't come out in 2 days that I would make an appointment with a dentist. I buckled him in the carseat and realised that the tooth fragment was gone!! I guess with the doctor pulling on it and then Rylen eating the popsicle it came out.
Wondering if Rylen was even going to have a molar on that side 2 days later we have a tooth! Its too soon to tell if its broken but he finally has his molars making their way through after 5 months of waiting.

Rylen really loves to eat at the table now like a big boy, just like daddy. But honestly I think he takes after me on this one cause he only like to do this if dad has food at the table and he gets to steal off of his plate!
