Who wants to guess??

OMG, did this ever make me laugh!!!!

So who would like to guess what Rylen is doing??

No, he wasnt trying to fart and no, he didnt just discover his bum! He was standing up in the bath and I just happened to take the picture at the exact moment he sat down on one of his toys!

This picture is so going to make it into the BRIBE book!!!!! Maybe might just have to show it at his wedding!! lol

Our daily routine when we try to brush our teeth.

Rylen loves to play with the tap and water so it usually distracts him when Im trying to brush his teeth.

And this is why we have to hide the toothpaste!!

Rylen is tall enough to get anything and everything off of the counter so now we have to put certain things away or else we will have a child trying to suck back toothpaste!! Not a good thing!!

Chocolava Cookies

Rylen loves to help out in the kitchen and last week we made these yummy chocolava cookies! Super easy to make and Daddy loves them!
These cookies are from the book One Smart Cookie (love the book!)
Chocolava CookiesIngredients:
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter, softened
3 large egg whites, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
5 tbsps. icing sugar
Preheat oven to 175 c
In a large bowl or in the bowl of a food processor, combine the flour, sugar, brown sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt, breaking up any lumps of brown sugar. Add the butter and work it in with a fork or pastry cutter (or pulse in the food processor) until the mixture is well blended. If you use a food processor, transfer the mixture to a large bowl.
Add the egg whites or whole eggs and vanilla and stir by hand (I use a spatula – that way you can scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl as you mix) until the dough comes together, using your fingers if necessary. The mixture will seem dry at first, and the dough will be sticky because of the low fat content. But keep going, use your hands if you need to, and the dough will come together!
Place a few spoonfuls of icing sugar in a shallow dish. Roll the dough into walnut-sized balls and roll in the sugar to coat. Place 1”-2” apart on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.Bake for about 12 minutes, until just set around the edges but still soft in the middle. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Makes 2 dozen cookies.

Hey Mr. Bucket Head!!

Yes Rylen, thats what horses feel like when they have to eat!

I think this is Andrew's way of paying when he's tired! Just lie down and stick a bucket on your head- you're good to go!

M.I.A.

Yes, we have been missing in action for the past few weeks- sorry! Andrew has been working lots of overtime at work and Rylen and myself have been sick. For two weeks straight I had a hard time functioning (cooking, cleaning, playing with Rylen, blogging etc...). I felt completely run down, tired and sore all over. Of course that was when Andrew was doing his overtime so since he wasn't around I had to deal with it myself.
The only time that I get to update the blog is when Rylen goes down for his afternoon nap but since I wasn't feeling well I had no choice but to rest and try and catch up on some much needed sleep. And because I was feeling like poo, I haven't been into taking any pictures.
Enough of the pity post, I'm back to my old self and can hopefully do some more updating on here.
