Mmmm, Bubble Tea!!
Rylen's first time trying Bubble Tea and loving it!!
Normally you use a straw but since this is his first time trying it, I wouldn't want him to suck back a bubble and choke.
Spoons will work just fine for now!

Such a sweet boy!
Rylen woke up at 4am this morning so I decided to bring him into bed with me. As we snuggled underneath the covers he placed his hand on the side of my cheek and moved my head so we were face to face.
As he kept his hand firmly placed on my cheek he started singing to me in this sweet little high pitched voice.
"You are my sunshine" he sang.
After singing the song twice, he sat up towards me and leaned over "it's beautiful Mama" he said.

We have the cutest kid EVER!!
Rylen and I were out playing in the snow today. This would be our first attempt as a team to make a snowman.
After we had finished our creation Rylen walked up to the snowman, bent down and said in the high little voice....
"Hi Snowman.... You like snow? ....Yes?.... You like snow?"
He carried on the conversation for 20 minutes!

Rylen and Mommy were sitting in the rocking chair trying to go down to sleep for the night. Rylen sits and and places a hand on each side of mommy's face.
Rylen: "Shhh, listen."
Mommy: "Im listening..."
Rylen kisses mommy on the nose.
Rylen: "I kiss your nose!"
Mommy let out a little giggle.
Rylen: "Mama, you're so funny!"

It was in our bedroom that morning and he wanted to jump on it but Daddy was sleeping so we dragged it out into the living room.

Poor Rylen
It all started on Sunday....
Rylen wouldn't go down for his afternoon nap so by dinner time he was really tired. After having some milk he had fell asleep on me by 4:30pm but we were leaving to go for Sunday dinner at the Kleins at 5pm.
Once we got to our destination Rylen woke up and besides being tired he seemed OK. After dinner we were all gathered around in the living room for our nighly chat when Rylen came up to me and wanted some comfort time. Not even 1 minute later he got sick and it went ALL the way down my back! But Rylen wasn't done yet, he was sick 4 more times on the front of me!! Ya, not fun!!!
Rylen ended up in the bath and seemed to be OK and Andrew had to run back home to get a change of clothes for both of us.
What a way to end the night!!
We got home around 8pm and Rylen went to bed soon after. I was going to go to bed myself but wanted to finish up some makeup orders. I heard Rylen starting to stir about in his crib. He fussed a little, called out for me and then went back to sleep. This it not unusual for him.
30 minutes later I was off to bed but wanted to make sure he was covered up with his blankets. As soon as I opened the door I smelt a very unpleasant odour.
Rylen had woken up and was sick ALL over his crib, bedding and himself and I guess since he was so tired from not having any sleep that he turned to the other side of the crib and passed out.
Poor thing!!
I cleaned him up and Andrew stripped and washed all of the bedding. In the morning he seemed OK but was a little cranky from lack of sleep and having no food in his belly. Our day went on as usual until I finished making some Mac & Cheese for Rylen. As soon as it was cooked, I turned the stove off from being on "max", turned around to the sink to drain the noodles when I saw out of the corner of my eye Rylen grabbing his fingers. I had his hand under cool running water before he even got to cry. Rylen had touched the element on the stove with 3 of his fingers.
They started to blister right away!
For 4 hours we had his hand in a bucket of cold water since that was the only way to give him some relief. After that we decide to take him to Emergency just in case. Andrew had to go to work right away so he dropped us off at the hospital. By the time we were done we called our friend for a ride...she wasn't home!
Not wanting to wait around since Rylen was fussing and crying I bundled him up in his blanket and we headed out into the cold to walk home. Not the smartest move since its freezing out, there is ice and snow covering the ground, a wind warning and Rylen was in his pj's with one of those fuzzy blankets wrapped all around him. It wouldn't have been so bad but I broke my big toe last week and to try and keep my balance walking on ice without falling or hurting myself again was quite the challenge. Lets just say the winter weather was kicking my butt!!
We got home a little cold and I hurt my toe yet again!!
We snuggled up on the couch together thinking that our night should hopefully be over but it wasn't. Rylen came up to me and said "mama? Change bum?" I was actually shocked that he asked that- it was a first!!
I looked down and he had a little accident. After cleaning him up I realised that he must have a very upset tummy. We snuggled up some more and then I heard his tummy making all of those watery gurgling sounds...its going to be a long night tonight!!!
A mother's job is never done even if you are not in tip top shape yourself!
