To start our adventure off we left Sunday to catch our flight out of Terrace only to be sent back home. The flight was cancelled due to fog. We ended up having to wait until the last flight of the night since all of the other ones were cancelled and we were still unsure if we were going to make it out on this one. With our fingers crossed we played in the airport waiting to here some news.
The fog finally lifted enough for the plane to get off the ground and we were on our way.
Rylen was a little fussing when we sat down on the plane due to lack of sleep and food but after downing half a bottle he drifted off into la-la land and slept for the entire flight. When we arrived in Vancouver we found a little play area for kids and settled down to watch cartoons. Rylen has never watched Dora the Explorer before but he seemed to enjoy the show. Every time she spoke he would let off a giggle.
The next flight was only 15mins and he snuggled up to me the entire time. What an amazing little flyer he is!!!
When we walked into the airport and saw Grandma he put his arms straight out to her wanting to be held. I think he remembers...
The drive to Grandma and Grandpa's was 1 1/2hrs which Rylen was not to keen one. With lots of tears he finally fell asleep 1/2hr before we reached our destination. Hoping to put him to bed as soon as we got through the front door he decided it was a good time to wake up. With so many new things to see would you sleep??
For how tired Rylen was he didn't show it. Grandma had him in giggles until he was ready for bed and even then it was hard to put him down because he kept looking around for her.
The night finally ended at 2am.
