The price of kids furniture

We made a little trip to the Brick the other day to check out beds and furniture for Rylen and we can't believe the prices! They wanted anywhere from $700-$1000 for a twin bed! I can buy a queen for that! And of course that's just for the bed not for a nightstand or a dresser. Andrew and I talked it over and we both agreed that buying one from Ikea would be our best bet plus we like the styles that they have better. And to add to the expensive, its so hard to find funky, modern kids bedding at a reasonable price. Everything seems to be in a sports theme, cars and trucks or any of the licensed Disney themes. We found a lady in Vancouver that makes kids bedding but it would cost over $150.
