Update cont...

My brain is a little foggy right now and everything that I wanted to say yesterday has been forgotten. I will try my best though...
Right now we have the contractors over putting in our new floor and what a mess they are making!! There is dust (from sanding) all over my living room and dining room. I guess once they leave I'm going to have to do a major vacuum and dusting everywhere! But to my surprise Rylen is sleeping through all of the banging and noise that they are creating. He must get it from Andrew cause he can sleep through anything as well.
I will post before and after pictures once they are done.

Rylen and I headed out to the garden again yesterday and he defiantly is an outside kid! He stayed close to me the entire time so it was nice to get some work done without having to worry about him. Of course he kept on stealing my gardening tools so I think this summer we are going to have to buy some for him. As Rylen and I dug into the dirt we found a few BIG black beetles. OK, I'm not the one to pick bugs up but I had gloves on and I have to show Rylen that he cant be scarred of things. I'm sure if Daddy was there I would be squirming and screaming if I had to hold one. Rylen seems very intrigued by the beetle and even wanted to pet it.
Later he chased the cats around the yard for a bit and then played with some rocks.

Rylen vocabulary is getting big for a 1yr old. He says the words hot, please, dad or dadda, mum or mama, cat, woof, ba (sheep), dog, bath and a few others. Any time we ask Rylen is he wants a bath he looks up at you and says "bath, bath?" and then runs to the bathroom to the tub and tries to get in. He still loves his baths but I think he seems to love showers a little more lately. Anytime he hears daddy in the shower he runs to the bathtub and tries to hop in. He even doesn't mind getting sprayed in the face with water.

Our friends seem to love Rylen and are always commenting on how funny and friendly he is. We have taught him how to give kisses and he seems to think its really funny when he does. Its not just one kiss that he gives you but 4 or 5 kisses. He also loves to give the cats kisses.
Krynger the youngest cat who really didn't care for Rylen in the beginning has become closer. They love to play under the table together and play ball (Rylen throws a cat ball and Krynger chases it).As for Snickers, she has been sleeping on his change table for the past month. She seems to put up with Rylen ALOT!! He tends to bug her often but she acts as if she doesn't really care.

Now that Im on a roll with writing I can hear Rylen awake in his crib. Gotta go!!
